Inkubator

Asylum Productions, in association with The Source Arts Centre, Thurles seek on-going submissions for our new writing project -The Inkubator

The Inkubator provides an invaluable playground for the development of previously unproduced writers. Aspiring playwrights are invited to submit a short (circa 20 mins) play or scene, featuring no more than four actors.

Selected writers will be invited to develop their work with professional actors experienced in script development, and with director Donal Gallagher. Selected texts will receive a subsequent staged reading at the Source Arts Centre.

The text can be on any theme you wish - comedy, tragedy, philosophy or farce - all are welcome. And non-script based concepts will also be considered. The Inkubator is open to everyone, regardless of experience.

Previous writers and texts have gone on to receive full professional productions.

Submission details :

• Please submit three copies of your play or scene. Only write your name on the cover sheet of one copy, and all copies should have numbered pages and be double spaced.
• Please include a brief biography.
• Please post your submission to Claudia Woolgar, The Source Arts Centre, Cathedral Street, Thurles, County Tipperary, and write The Inkubator on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

Accommodation :
Accommodation will be offered to selected writers, in a shared house with the actors working on the texts.
